I'm looking for a SL-68 II that I can play with regularly and beat on a little.  I have tig's SL still, but I don't want to go gun-ho with that, so I'd like a cheap SL-68 II.  I'll look at parts or kits for SL-68 II's also.

Smitty, your SL was clearcoated with acrylic enamel, it's as durable as the paint on a car, you wouldn't damage it even playing in heavy brush. about the only way you would hurt it is if you tossed it in the gravel and walked on it.

that said, take it out and use it!!!

Well I have used it, and I go out and shoot it every chance I get.  I have noticed that some of the red paint is getting chipped though.  I will use it, but I want another SL-68 II.  I guess it's more of a desire than a necessity.

Clear coat it again. It isn't hard. Just make sure you clean it before you clear coat it. I don't see how it would chip at all. My Ion was basically done the exact same as what tig does and it still is the same as when I first did it.

Well I might, but I still want another SL.  I want a stock one anyway.
