this is not a full review(yet) of the RD centerfeeder. this is for the people thinking about buying one for their 98c. cost $24.50 without installment by RD....pic's:

when you put the centerfeeder on a 98c, you won't need these anymore:

...they such a pain in the a....
these are all the items the centefeeder comes with:

yes you do need to drill 2 holes into your gun:

...the centerfeeder comes with a insert to fill up the stock hole:

...it has porting for blowback...

..and goes in like this...

..to put on or take off the centerfeeder all you need is to losen the front screw and slip it on or off...

...then screw in the screws on the centerfeeder....here..

and here

...make sure you got the right allen wrenches and other tools for the job...

..it's alittle hard to take off and on. but i think it's worth it to have a 98c with a vertical feed Thumbs up

i'll have a full review of the centerfeeder up after sunday. gonna test it out in action. if anyone has anything else to add, please do...thanks.

I live in Ohio! Maybe they do it for really cheap. Not like I would need to send it to them. I have all the tools I need to do it my self.

Awsome. Could have installed it myself though. Very awsome upgrade, although I like being able to fold down the hopper. At least tigmans can do that Smile . Nice pics.

*update*
well i didn't get to go paintball last sunday. due to a family emergencey. but i did have both of my 20.oz's filled and 1,000 rounds of pmi premiums paintballs and a backyard. so i gased up my gun and shot all of my paint and wasted all my air in my backyard...to get to the point...the RD centerfeeder worked awesome. out of 1,000 rounds no bolt chops, even with burst of 3 to 6 balls. which if i had my stock feed neck on i would have chopped. my apache feed much faster with the centerfeeder than the stock feed neck...i was shooting the fastest my 98c has ever shot. i guess like 14 to 17bps. i was very pleased by the way my gun shot with the centerfeeder. to add a few things...the RD comes with a 1 year warrenty and says that Halo b's fit perfectly useing the centerfeeder.
in conclusion:
.this is a very good upgrade to the 98c.
.for woods and speedball players.
.almost no bolt chops.(depends on your hopper)
.very easy to replace.
only bad thing about this product:
.can use flatine, but you need to cut the shroud.
.hard to install at first.
the RD centerfeeder gets a 9.9 out of 10.

So if I put this on my Tippy with a revvy hopper or any other agitated hopper that isn't force fed, how much faster would it feed? Or is it still capped at 13.333 bps?

i shot a whole hopper at 13 bps max with 0 chops i'm pretty sure you could get into the 17-18 bps range with a agitating hopper capipable of feeding it that fast

with a revy with an x-board you will feed as fast as the hopper is made to do. the centerfeeder gets rid of the extra ball travel that the stock feedneck does. meaning faster feed rate. as NN puts it:

"Feed neck: Since it is at a 45 degree angle, this already slows down how fast you will be able to shoot. Laws of physics (trigonometry) determines this. It is now commonly known, that on vertical feed guns (non forcefed) the fastests ROF acheivable is 13-14 bps. After some math you will find that with a right feed about 10 bps is max. Now amount of blowback, angle your gun is being held at, and type of hopper can affect this. "
