*update*Ricochet apache review

before i begin my review i just want to say the pic's are of my apache that i own. the vid's are other people's apache's that i found on the net. now to start my review...

this is my apache. i have owned it for 5 or 6 months. i got it for $45 on sale from action village.

this is a very light hopper. uses 2 9volt batteries. it is very easy to put in and take out the batteries from the apache. the batteries are lock in tight in to the apache when installed. no worry of the falling out if dropped.

the neck of the apache uses o-rings to keep it from moving around. when you get the apache it comes with a pack of o-rings for it in different sizes to make sure it stays on your gun.

on the sides of the hopper their are windows. so you may see the paintball's that are in your hopper. don't worry they are very strongly made. won't break if dropped or hit by enemy fire. will break if hit with a hammer or somthing.

the lid..it is very easy to open and close, even under fire. the lid is very strong & stays locked when you close it. but you may drop paint if you are loading under fire. the lid opening is alittle small. so you may drop 4 to 10 balls if you are in a hurry.

it can hold up to 180 rounds. it is not a force feeding hopper like a halo b it can go from 14 to 19bps very fast. here is some examples...

it come with a timer that you can set to the length of the game you are playing. it has alarms on it to to tell you how much time you have left. if you run out of batteries or somthing happens in side your hopper. the hopper can become a gravity feed hopper.

you may want to tighten the feed neck a little if you own a 98c, just to be safe.

this a good hopper i got for the price i got it for, maybe be over priced at other web stores so watch out. i have dropped my hoper once during a game. but i tripped over somthing and my 98c went flying..lol. but my hopper stayed on and the lid stayed close. but some paint broke. but i was happy that nothing else happen to my hopper or 98c. it come with a 2 year warrenty if enything happens to it. it may not be the fastest or more popular than a 12v rev, but it is a better hopper than the stock 98c one.
this hopper gets a 8.8 out of 10.

All your reviews are great because you have a lot of pics. Smile

i forgot to add this to.....

it use's like a paper thin sensor, that is in the feedneck of the apache.
shown here in the pic..look like a red piece of paper. every time a paintball hits it that makes the hopper agitate the paintballs which makes the paintball go down the neck into the paintball gun....
..sorry i couldn't take a better pic of it.

it is just as fast or faster as a stock egg with a stock board. but it dose not force the paintballs into your paintball gun like an egg dose. it sort of give the paintball a good push and the paintball dose the rest, but really fast.

I have a hard time believe that it can feed 19 BPS. If it isn't a force feed, or a semi force feed (like an egg) it shouldn't be able to feed over 13.333 BPS.

Then again, Im no sciencist, so Ill stop talking.

..hopefully it's good quality and people can watch it. i wen't frame by frame while i was editing the video. one second buring the begining of the hoppers drop...it hit 18bps...fast but not the best compared to the halo...you wan't somthing fast that dosen't cost as much as a halo or more reliable than an evo...lol. it's the apache(or if your to NOT stupid to pick up a halo b AAAARGGGGHHH!!!!!!!!!).
You Wont See Me

Nice job.

don't mean to hijack your thread but i have some opinions and pics to share. as you all know i ordered an apache LED, well today is the day i have so looked forward to it arrived!! i slaped that bad boy on my tippy and headed out for some shooting! it outperformed all my expectations it had no trouble keeping up with the R\T (as you will see in the vid (if i can ever figure how the hell to get it posted) i was running low on co2 and i had a hard time sustaining realy rapid fire). i have only 2 concerns it was fairly noisy (this will take some getting used to) and if the hopper gets down to 20 or so balls the agitator spins so fast it "juggles" the last of the balls. these both are very minor problems and the good of the hopper GREATLY outweighs the bad

here are some pics of the LED model

i have a couple more things to add used my Apache LED for the first time in a game tonight and have some input. that puppy is LOUD it was kinda giving my position away due to cycling after 1 shot i am looking into "quieting" mods i'll let you know what i find out. second the on/off switch is tempermental got to take it apart to see if i can do anything with it other than that this is one SWEET hopper shot approx 1000 balls 0 chops Cheers

was playing with bro in law and he said HE could hear it, it's actualy how he got a position on me a few times THumb down i'll make it quieter if it's the last thing i do Laughing
RoboCop

they quieter robo?
RoboCop

with a custom pro right under it, you don't even notice the Halo is on.
cdacda13

Thats cause the custom pro is so damn loud
RoboCop

Ya I was lying. You can hear the Halo B but only people in about 2-4 feet of you could probably hear it while firing. It is only acivated while shooting, so the gun should cancel it out to other players. Cda, my Custom Pro is loud compared to highend markers but it is quiter than many other Tippmann guns. This one guy, I think has his gun way to high of fps has a Tippmann that just roars everytime when he fires it. THumb down
tigman250

i've got some ideas to make the apache quiter hopefully they work, won't know until i get to town for supplies Salut
