RoboCop

Hollywood??

What happened to Hollywood? They have been making alot of repeats of other movies. Some movies needed to be redone though, but still, you don't see many originals anymore.
Ghostslinger

the answer imo is that we don't think. we rely on others to redo and when we do think it usually comes out terrible (ex: The Polar Express lol, serious ex: The Cave? Excorcism of Emily Rose

Yeah movies havnt been original at all lately. Kinda been disappointed.

I think people have been unimpressed with recent "new" movies so theyre trying to bring audiances back to their favourite sequal or remake.

They better not even think about redoing the Star Wars saga because it cant happen... Rambo

Oh God thatd ruin it! Again! I think the whole "new" trilogy runined the classic...
Betterdays

Movies cost so much to make that studios have become increasingly unwilling to take any kind of risks. Re-makes and sequels have a built in audience and are therefore considered "safer bets."

I personally enjoy the new trilogy because you get an idea of how things were before and how people ended up the way they did. I'm a huge Star Wars fan(get made fun of a lot, but owell) and to get a feel for what it was like before is pretty cool.
