led light mod

i found this. this won't make your gun shot faster just look cool...
Materials:
led light
micro switch
3v batt.
wires
toothpick
super glue

1st. take the left side plate off.
2nd. then take the grips off
3rd. punch out the squares on the side plates
4th. drill a hole in the grip were you want the light
5th. assemble the switch/batt/light together(soder reccomended)
6th. glue the switch behind the r/t hole
7th. glue toothpick to the switch.
8th. put the t/p in the r/t hole so the trigger hits the switch(when pulled bak)
9th. when you pull the trigg. bak it should make the switch clik.
10th. put light in the hole you drilled.

when its all put together your led light should blink every time you pull the trigger.
TIPS
1.put tape around the toothpick so it doesnt wobble in the r/t hole
2.you can get all these supplies at radioshack. it cost about $8.00 for all the supplies.
3.a watch 3v battery works best.
4. the switch is called a Submini Lever Switch. its number is #275-016a(at R/S)
5. get the switch without a roller on it

tigman250

seems kinda pointless as far as performance goes but it rocks in the cool department, i guess it all depends on witch one you are goin after Cool

Its very cool I must say. Not as easy if you have an RT. Pretty cool if you could make it blink by the sear and it would rapidy blink per shot. Im sure it would be easy, but I dont really have the time for it.
Grunt_98c

it just for looks. i would do it with my mech speed 98c. but i'm gonna use a dye sticky grip instead of the stock 98c grip. the new grip is sort of see thur i may not need to drill through it.
Smitty

It's cool, but I don't think it'll work without the E-Bolt or R/T.
sinisterNorth

Pretty cool, but I dont think I'd do that to my 98c.

Why not, most 98c's have a hole in it you could put it in so, it wouldn't hurt, but I just bought an Rt so.... I can't.
Pro-Litey

i would do it, but ive used those little lights for stuff and they get real hot and if you put em in your grip, well think about it. Not cool

Well, widen the hole in your grip, then make sure its on the opposite side as your hand so that when you shoot your hand doesn't touch.

I'd just be a light. I doubt it would get too hot. I believe he's talking about the micro switch in the grips.

Ohhh, well then run CO2, instant cooldown...

LEDs dont get very hot. If your running it off a 9v for over 10mins it may start to get hot, or just burn out. Just blinking isnt going to heat it up. You can put the light anywhere. Id put it in the back of the frame towards the bottom.
Trogdor

LED's kick ass. Nice mod.
RoboCop

I'm not sure but I think this mod from model98.net was better in detail.
Godd job though. Smile
Grunt_98c

i saw it to on model98.net....but i got this one from tippmannowners.com...if model98.net was up i'd post that one.

Wait, now I know that if you run an LED directly to a 9v it should pop, if you're really bored it's kinda funny...
