My (knock off) Phantom NEW PICS ON PG2 NEW PRODUCT ON PG3!!!

It has:

Sawed off barrel and pump....
Homeade latch (I guess) That allows me to use Re-Balls!!! And some homade porting.....I have found that it is MUCH more accurate than a Tippy 98c with stock barrel.....Go ahead and flame...

P.S. Halo B or Revvy is TOTALLY necessary...The Stock hopper is a...female dog? To load...lol

Edited my Smitty Tounge
Roll Tide

Mmmk. Yeah. The Halo weighs 10x more than the gun does.

Why can't it shoot reballs without you modding it?
TriggerHappy1

Dayyyyym. Your really testing thats Halos capabilities!

Not a Phantom, I was disappointed. Crying or Very sad
Sureshot3091

LOL my bad....I forget what it's called...........EDIT: I just looked and it's called a TALON Can you change the title...Thanks!
tigman250

looks kinda wierd but if it works what the heck!

Sureshot3091

Hold it like this....

Chill. I was just saying I thought it was a Phantom. Thinking Anyway, you may be able to do it.
Sureshot3091

I wasn't mad...See when I was typing I was think about what I could do to make it have 98c threads....And alot of posts I do I go....."Sooo...Yea" Also....Yea I screwed up pretty badly on the name lol......I was just looking at some Phantoms so taht's why....lol..

It's ok. Anyway, you could somehow just tap the "barrel" on the Talon, and then maybe it'd work. I have no idea what size tap you'd have to use.
Sureshot3091

I me being the genius that I am Very Happy Thought of using PVC Pipe!
Psyrecx

did you really saw it off, or did you just snap it off.
Sureshot3091

It's actually fairly thick...So yes I sawed it off....

Try it out, I bet it sucks.
piant4life.

?

how do you put a vidio on the website
sinisterNorth

You have to get it hosted first, then post the link.
Sureshot3091

I modded it....Alot....It's supposed to say KOP on the side for Knock off Phantom (Courtesy of Smitty).....I got a new drill and I went kind of.......Drill Happy (Hence all the holes)

Roll Tide

LOL, I love the double trigger...
tigman250

it looks like you used what was left of the trigger guard for a trigger stop.....now that's clever

I know I'm soooo clever Very Happy
Smitty

Nice. Just figure out the tap size and drill a hole. Then the 98c barrel would fit. Just put a stock one on it.
Sureshot3091

Tap size?
Smitty

Sureshot3091 wrote:

Not sure. Maybe ask at Tippy Forums and here. Not sure at all what size. Anyway, I love the KOP. Cheers
TriggerHappy1

Dont expect to use a standard machine tap. 98 threads are in no way comparable to machine threading. You might be able to get away with fine threaded barrle like a Spyder barrel.

To tap- Find a large nut that fits onto the barrel threads, find a tap that fits the nut. Then just tap it from there! Dont expect it to hold long though if its in plastic.
Sureshot3091

What do I use to tap it...And is tapping...Hard?
Smitty

Tapping isn't really that hard. It may be with plastic. Just be steady.
Sureshot3091

The new Tippmann Hopper! Drill happy again Very Happy
EDIT: Also VERY bored....Someone help me out....

Haha. Nice. I may try that a little lower in the hopper so I can tell how much paint I have left.
Sureshot3091

Yea that's what I was aiming for
TriggerHappy1

Tapping requires some tecnique. You have to make sure your aligned right, steady and slow. Only screw it in 1/2 turn at a time, backing it out 1/4 each half turn. This will get the shavings out and ensure a good tapping. But still plastic wont hold up very long or well.

Drilling holes in your hopper like that isnt a very good idea. Humidity makes them balls swell up if its not sealed. Ever left a few balls out? Put a window in there and seal it and youll be fine. Looks cool though.
Sureshot3091

lol I was just messing around...I wouldn't do that to a hopper I use.....Wait....Lemme go do that to my Halo B!!!! J/p
TriggerHappy1

Doh! Thought it would be a differant story doing it on my Halo B!

Saw that <I saw some other people say it, so don't hold it against me if you don't like it just edit it and leave your mark.> <'looza filter owned this word> off, then tap the inside of the receiver(how is absolutely unknown to me...)

A tap wouldn't work, so try recreating the area where the 98c barrel screws into the receivers into the plastic ones, I may try it soon as well.

You're fine. I think most of us are mature enough to be able to handle these words, but not let them get out of hand. That's when you get a strike, but not only if you curse every once and a while.

Umm....What are you talking about?
Smitty

Directions are a little fuzzy.
^Pirate^

Look at the inside of a 98c, see how the threaded hole is just circular indentions oing all the way around the two receivers insides? recreate that using a grinding tool into the side of the Talon's receivers.

just looked up the standards of acme taps in my machinery's handbook and i think the tippy has a 1" dia thread with 5 threads per inch. they do make acme taps but they are verry long because they have to remove material slowly because of the aggressive nature of the threads

as for the hopper drilling experiment just wait till you get hit in the hopper.......yuck!
sinisterNorth

If you could find a away to seal the hopper, that wouldnt be a half bad idea.
Justice

Ditch the halo and go old school with a 20 round stick feed or rig up an old cigar tube and ust that.

Very intereting tho. I Salut you
Sureshot3091

lol as for the hopper.....I won't use it....I was just really bored and diecided to mess around....And for the new hopper thing and Tapping the barrel....I have a feeling I'm wayyyy too lazy to do that....lol
Justice

So go with my suggestion. It's allot lighter than any hopper even the small 25 B.E.'s. Your using 12grams anyways no need for a regular hopper and the tubes are allot harder to hit than a regular hopper. I think Splatmasters used the sticks, try a google search.

Yes. They were like 4 or 5 verticle "poles".
Sureshot3091

lol I ain't using it in a game....I'll stick with my ION lol
