Project 98c

Well I just got the project 98c. I've been trying to thing of what to do with it. I'm thinking mil-sim. I want to try to make some mil-sim parts for it like a magazine (fake), stock (folds to side), barrel shroud, silencer (mock), ect. Any ideas on what to do with it. I really want to go mil-sim, but otherwise I'll probably just go with an awesome paint job. But NO pink. Anyway, I've already lightened the trigger pull greatly. I just need to get a Dremel, which I should be getting soon, to start milling. Any ideas on anything I could make for it. I want to keep it as low budget as possible, so I'll attempt to build about everything for it.

F.U.G. 6.2, my 98 Custom woods marker

Custom milling, custom front grip, polished internals, trigger wobble fix, custom rear bolt, custom LPK,

Super R/T mod.

Custom modded stock,  Stock contains a regulator.

...you can try somthin like this...but better...lol...other than that you can do whatever you feel like...just make sure what you do...that you take your time and be very careful...a dremel can = bad news...lol.

Cant wait to see it. Mill it up some so that it doesnt look like a 98 so much. I think making your own stock and shroud would be awesome. It shouldnt be too hard as long as you keep an open mind about it.

Smitty, silencer!?!? You MUST mean rain protecter

Nice grunt. I'm thinking something kind of like that, but a little less money in it. I won't have the cash to put a reg, R/T, ect. on it. Unless I could find a way to make them. Razz Maybe an R/T. Hmmm. Razz If anyone has pics of internals lmk. Anyway, it'll probably just look cool. I won't be able to throw a ton of cash into it.

Any more ideas? Pics would be appreaciated to give me some ideas on how to build this stuff, also links with helpful info.

Well I don't have a Dremel yet, but I was itchin' to get working on this bad boy. I used a file to mill off the velocity lip, and I have pretty much the whole word Tippmann even with the rest of it. I'm working on the words 98 Custom right now. I'll probably just get it close and then finish it up once I get a Dremel. So anyone have any ideas? Actually, I do need a part too. I need the hose line that attaches to the ASA. If anyone has one lmk. I could use the ASA too, but whatever works. Any more ideas for the Mil-Sim look? Pics would be much appreaciated.

made it one post (th1)

sounds great smitty...if anyone you know has like a broken down pellet gun or somethin you can get the stock off of that....and custom fit it....thats what my friend did for his spyder.

ive never heard of that air grinder thing tig. is it a basic rotary tool?
Smitty

It's a pneumatic grinding tool. I actually might have one here somewhere. An older one, but it'd work. I'd still like to get a Dremel.
RoboCop

does that grinder require an air tank?

Well if you have an air tank, I would go ahead with that or go buy a whole kit of air accessories. My air tank died on me and also it seemed a little bit of a hassle to keep everything in great condition with having to have the oil going through to the air tool as much as possible.
