So I went to a local store...

Well, good thing I brought my brand new tank in. The first time I had filled it (Saturday) the burst disk failed. I didn't think much of it, just that it cost me $10 to replace it. So I was going to the movies and desided to go to the paintball shop. The owner is a very good tech and so I asked for some extra burst disks. He said sure no problem. He asked which burst disk I needed. I thought it was all the same. I showed him which one went off. He looked at it while it was still in my hand and he said don't even point that thing at me. Apparently the person who changed my burst disk put a 5K burst disk in the spot where the 1.8K was supposed to be. So he emptied it and put on the proper disk. He was testing it and the output pressure was very slowly creeping up. So he said if it pops tonight, my reg on the tank is basically malfunctioning. Well, I come to look at it and he didn't even have 1.8K of pressure in the tank. So it won't pop anymore. I will be going back shortly because he is ordering me a pipe. I didnt look that closely at my burst disks when I got it so I didn't know about this. I just thought I would let you guys know before any of you got hurt.

He also had great prices on everything. He usually has prices to high, but everything I wanted was lower than the price on the internet. The pipe will have the full back kit with the Ultra tip at only $120, much better than $150 at Action Village. I also got some Dye C5 gloves at 50 cents cheaper. The cp regs were $5 cheaper. I might get some locklids soon from him. Only $23 for 6. A savings of 70 cents. I think the only thing overpriced were the Dye stickies. They were about $4 higher. The main things overpriced are some of the guns, many were under internet price. The Dye C6 pants were only $120 about $17 savings. I think I found my new shop.

Sorry about the long post, I was just amazed both ways.

THumb down to the person who changed your burst disk before, he deserves to be shot (with a paintball gun of course)

Something like the pin could have shot off at someone at any time. I will definately complain about that. I guess thats why they have waivers for though.

RoboCop

I got the tank about 2 weeks ago and it was an Evil scion preset 68/5000.

eh, scions are ok. i know 2 people that haev adjustable scions that work graet, but after reading some reviews, it seems like they are hit or miss.

my tank is currently in the shop, the output was at like 1000 for some reason, and i blew 3 macrolines and a fitting using it Confused

I easily fit my Empire tank cover over it. The tank will still slide around only when screwing on/off the tank, otherwise the inside grips on the cover stick well.

Im having problems with my crossfire tank too. Put 2 1.8's on it and they both burst.

The second 1.8k burst disk had gone off the other day. There was only 1.5 in the tank and the air conditioning was off. The house only got up to about 90* so it shouldn't have made it go that high to set it off. I atleast believe it went off, no one was home to hear it go off. Kinda strange when it was holding 1.5k that the 1.8k went off. I will call PMI about it to get the regulator replaced. Hopefully I can drive it to the local factory (only about 45 minutes away) and get it fixed on the spot. Maybe I can get them to fill it to 5k also.

Nothin like gettin what you paid for (talking about gettng air filled all the way)
And yes, that is quite odd.

I called PMI today. They have excellent service. I told them my problem and so they are going to send my a spring kit tomorrow and a new 1.8k burst disk. Basically a drop in kit with little work on my side. Hopefully this new kit will save me from all my problems now.
