Some of my firearms

Posted all this on militarymania a few days ago. Why not here.

Theses are all of our "loose" guns, the others are locked up.

Marlin SS Bolt action 22 Magnum with 7rd clip, Scope is adjustable from 4-12x. Under it is my .410/22lr single shot break barrel. Can change from a 22 rifle to a shotgun in under 30 seconds. Has a lot of kick in .410.

1938 dated German WWII Mauser K98. 8mm, has some punch to it.

Beretta 25ACP pocket pistol. From the 40s I beleive, I have never shot it myself.

And some of our assorted knives and bayonets. Clockwise starting at the longest one- 1938 Dated German K98 Mauser Bayonet, 11in I beleive. Vietnam era M-7 Bayonet (for M-16), probaly used in action by the wear on it. German Hitler Youth knife (replica), brand new kind of crappy, "Blut und Ehre!" engraved on it (Blood and Honor!). And An original German WWII fighting knive, relativly rare.

Dont think Im some kind of neo-nazi, my family (particularly my bro) collects German WWII items. We have a few other guns, but they are locked away.

Some nice looking guns. My uncle has a .410/22lr that I've shot several times. I really like it. I also like the Mauser, looks to be in good condition.

I loooove my 22mag. It was my first own gun. The ammo is a bit more costly than 22lr which isnt so great for plinking, but its really worth the extra power, range and accuracy. My bro and I had a speedshooting game (metal post with targets that swivel from one saide to another, objective is to clear your side), he used the semi, I used my 22Mag, about 30yds, I won. Accuracy over speed. And also with the 22mag, I shot a swinging target about five times in the same spot, tore a hole through the 1/4in steel. Kept shooting it, and it eventualy ripped of the disc altogether. Fun stuff! Too bad we cant shoot them in the backyard at our mountain house anymore.

I played that game at my hunters safety course. It was kind of unfair because we had to single load the one pistol we were using, and then we had a semi auto .22 rifle. (the guy who owned the pistol accidentally left the magazine)

P.S. Those targets are made for rimfire only, so dont go shootin like a 30/30 at it, the guy got mad at my dad for shootin our 9mm at it Laughing

22mag is rimfire Very Happy but thats definatly pushing it. We shot the old swinging target I destroyed with the mag (had one small disk left) with the Mauser, ripped it clean off and bent the swinging rod, couldnt find the disk...

The 22mag makes about 1/8in dents in the steel wheras 22lr makes no mark. Big power differance there. Both loads did however shoot through a steel pipe. And the 8mm Mauser shot clean through 1/8in square steel tubing, made sparks too from the FMJ.
tigman250

^^ha ha^^ that reminds me i shot a piece of 3/8" thick steel with my .243 blew right through it, tiny hole in and about a 1" hole out. prety awesome power, no wonder a deer dosen't stand a chance!

Sounds awsome! We were shooting quarters taped to plywood with the mag before, makes such a clean hole; the Mauser just blew out the quarter and made a hole that size, kind of close though because of the iron sights. Know what its like to shoot an aluminum billet? I really want to see what happens.
tigman250

i dunno i might try it now just to see what happens?
Justice

Very nice! A crook would love those, lock-em-up in a safe.

I like the mauser.

Heres an old video, I was probaly 11 or 12, of me shooting the Mauser. I could barly hold it nor take the kick, look how much I and the gun move. I still remember the ringing in my ears after I shot it. I was afraid I was going to break it if I cocked it too fast because its so old... wow.

Another one from the same day, I was pulling pretty fast our Marlin 22 semi, with a 15rd clip, empty pretty fast. The casing are very hot when they eject, and one went down my brothers shirt at the end.
