Decent review. I thought you liked 98c's more.. Anyway, pics would've helped, but nice job covering the main points.

Im still trying to figure out the "uses paint quickly" con part.

You need to tell its main features and how they work such as the quick stip receivers, vert adapter, how the cyclone works, etc,...
^Pirate^

Another con is the Cyclone isn't truly unlimited in speed like the first add said...

Re: Tippmann A-5

Not a bad review, but a bit brief. Let's see if we can add some meat to the bones.

The A-5 is the next step in the evolution of the Tippmann Marker and it strongly traces it's lineage back to the Custom 98. The A-5 shares the same basic characteristics of its predecessor, though with a new MP-5 inspired look. It's a standard Tippmann blow-back design including an allen-wrench velocity adjuster rather than an RVA.

While retaining the trademark Tippmann durability and simplicity it builds upon the foundation of planned upgrade-ability of the Custom 98. Push-pins make field stripping the marker extremely simple and allow many upgrades to be dropped in with ease. (Adding a stock for example requires only the removal of 2 pushpins.) A Tombstone Adaptor also adds to the ease upgrading.

As with the custom 98, there are a vast array of after market upgrades to increase the markers capabilites and appearance. E-grips or Response Triggers will increase ROF , the Flatline barrel for the A-5 is a vast improvement over it's C-98 counterpart and for the mil-sim crowd there are accessories to mimic many real fire-arms.

The biggest change in the A-5 though is the addition of the intergrated Cyclone Feed System. A gas powered (uses excess CO2) feeder, it all but eliminates the chances of chopping balls at conventional rates of fire. (the cyclone's max feed rate is 15-17 BPS). This handy feature does come with some down sides though. The feeder itself is slighty bulky and requires a specialized hopper, which gives the A-5 a larger profile than other markers. This can be a detriment in speedball.

Like all Tippman markers the A-5 is an entry level gun extremely well suited to the new player. If speedball is your game, you will likely need to look elsewhere as you progress in the sport. While the A-5 can be made to compete there are other, better, alternatives. For the recreational woodsballer or scenario player though, the A-5's upgradeability and performance make it an ideal choice for any level of experience.
