Tire question

I'm pretty sure I'm going with a 1983 Chevy now. I want a good off and on road tire. I was thinking the BF Goodrich All Terrains or Mud Terrain T/As. They're kinda expensive though. Anything else you guys can think of that's got that quality and is cheap? I'm looking for 33s and perferably like 12.5" wide.

83? How many miles?

I just bought another Camaro today.

About 91,000. Needs a paintjob. Solid truck. Should be a showstopper when it's painted. I'd like to put something other than a 305 in it though. We do have a 402 sitting around. Smile Maaaaaaaaaybe! What year camaro did you get? Why did you get another camaro? Thinking

305 will get you started, although the 402 would be pretty sweet! i would stay away from the BFG's they are way too spendy for what you get. any brand of tire is prety reliable nowadays, any large agressive tire isn't going to last all that long anayways so why spend $200+ per tire? i don't think you can get 33's in a 12.5" wide tire i think only 10.5" wide if you want 12.5's i think you will have to get 35-12.50-15's......rember the larger the tire the bigger the brakes you need to stop the rolling mass plus 33-10.50-15's don't fit too well in a stock wheel well you probably will have to lift it to get it to look right.

now that i think about it mabey they do make a 33" tire that's 12.5" wide......not sure

Why not get another camaro? Actually I wouldn't want one.

Well it doesn't have stock wheels. He put some centerlines on it. I found some BFG All Terrain T/As in 33x12.5R15 for $140 or so and then it's only like $10 to ship each item or something. I might just go with that. I hear they wear like stinkin' iron.

91 camaro, white with red interior. 130,000 miles. Body and interior is in perfect condition and its been sitting in an underground storage place for cars for the past 3-4 years.

Come with some nice subs/amp and I love it.

I'll get pics up when I can.

And why I bought it? The red one took a poo on me, so once that one gets running again ill sell it because the white ones alot nicer.

don't forget, once you get them you have to pay someone to mount them. it kind of ticks tire shops off when you show up with brand new tires for them to mount that they didn't sell you. it will probably cost arround $20 apiece to mount

It's about $15 around here to mount and balance them. I'm not positive, but I don't think the guy sells tires, but he's got the mounting and balancing machines. Also, my uncle has a tire mounting machine, so all I'd need is to get them balanced.

I'll get pics of the truck when I get it. I've got to get tires and a flexplate first. So I'll have to drive it out to our shop, fix the flexplate, and then if I have the tires, mount those (There are already tires on it, and the guy that owns it likes them so he's keeping them, but I can use them until I get new tires. Yes my dad knows him). I'm just warning you guys it needs a paintjob, but the body is solid. I'll get to work on that eventually. It's not very pretty right now, but it'll be hot when I'm done with it. Cool
