Yes I know... im ashamed about this thought too.

I... have considered an ION as my 3rd gun and for speedball only (or as often as possible). Since i think i read it was made to be upped over time to become a high end gun instead of all at once, thats why im considering it. I also havent gotten to read much on the Dynasty bodies so can someone tell me the pros and cons. This is very important to me and i appreciate your help.

Eh, the Dynasty bodies probably aren't that great of an improvement over the stock. It just has the Dynasty icon like on a shocker. I think it is still plastic. All it is is for looks. If you want a new body, look into the metal ones. What is that one called, the foehn? It looks like a shocker.

Remember, you need a new feedneck, trigger, and a qev is great at lowering pressure, dwell, and giving you more shots per tank.

Here is what the dynasty body looks like if you haven't seen it.

Despite what we all may have said at one time or another about Ions, they're are incredibly nice guns for $200. They rip right out of the box and there are enough upgrades and aftermarket parts to spruce it up. I wouldnt go for the Dynasty body...not a huge fan of the "Private Label" Ion bodies. Check www.pbreview.com for other bodies. If I had a HPA tank, faster hopper, and $200 lying around, I would pick up an Ion without thinking twice about it.

ok so far ive got a small upgrade plan laid out (thank you for the alerts on what i need robo).
for a bolt i'm considering the TechT L6 bolt
body: blue dynasty body (since i dont really like alot of the other designs but i know there are better ones than this)
QEV: SP 360 swivel qev
trigger: Shocktech roller bearing trigger
feedneck: SP q-lock (low-rise) but i think ill change this later on

this is a rough idea (and its all off actionvillage since i dont trust online ordering and go by phone, being the paranoid person i am)

What hopper do you have to feed it? If you have a halo, you might want to look into the CCM low no rise feedneck because it would hold a Halo better IMO (you might have to look under impulse feednecks for it) . You might want to look into getting a new ASA with on/off. The Custom Product ones are nice. I am not a big fan of those shocktech triggers. I would rather go with New Designz Alluminum Blade trigger. Which ever you like. I am sure the both work fine. With the Dynasty body, I recommend holding back on that. It is only their for looks. It Doesn't really protect anything. If the inside of it had to be protected, why would they make bodies that have holes in them?

You will have to let me know about that bolt if you get it. I was thinking about a new bolt for my Ion, but right now I am saving to get a new regulator from CP.

If you order online, I highly recommend Action Village. I have had absolutely no problems with them and they have better deals on products then all other sites I have been to. They also have hacker safe protection like most other sites.

my ion had the blade trigger, it felt awsome

Blade looks 100x better too. I hate those other triggers. Looks very uncomfortable.

(i've only felt it on a proto, and loved it, i imagine it would be similar

I use a CP Blade on my ION. I had to do some drilling and other minor work to get the trigger pin out and new one in. It's not hard, just have a drill, hammer, and a punch handy.

I think that goes for most of the replacement triggers for an ion.

when i did changed my friends triggeri t was extremely easy
Justice

Yeah they may have fixed the size of the pins. This was when the ion first came out and cp was the only replacement trig.
