ill put pics up once im done fixing it.
the engine blew up once we got it.

You should drop a bigger engine into that. Would be sweet for a sleeper.

I'd personally drop in a V8, but then again I'd personally never buy an S-10.  If it's 4WD it might be alright.  Then lift it a little (2-3").  What I don't get is, you said that the engine blew up so you got a new one.  Then you said that a "rebuild" is going on?  Why would you buy a new motor if you rebuilt the old one?  Thinking

rebuilding everything underneath the hood
we didnt buy a crate motor, just a long block
therefore it doesnt come with valve cover, timing belt cover, or any of that other good stuff.

i had access to a 350 to drop in it at my uncles house, with a racing transmission
but my dad said no, and with the nice little 2.2 i get about 30 to the gallon haha
i like that.

and no its not 4 wheel drive either, but nothin around here i need it for
so thats fine

Well I've got a buddy dropping a 350 into an S10 and it's a royal pain.  It barely fits, and requires a little modification/fabrication.  Hopefully YOU are doing some of the work yourself, if not all of it.  It's a great trade to pick up.  And, if you're going to have a truck, you better use it like a truck.  Hopefully you haul stuff, or take it off-roading.  I hate it when people buy trucks just for the status.

Oh and when I say it's a good trade to pick up:
The tranny went out of my truck a while back, and I'm currently swapping it with a fairly fresh one.  It saved me about $800 or so if you count all of the parts I got off the parts truck (I'm swapping out the axles sometime this summer too).  They wanted $1400 to rebuild the old one, and I got the truck for $500.  So, after getting a new Torque Converter and replacing the input shaft, I saved a ton of money.

It all depends how much you drop a truck. If you are doing it to fill up the wheel wells a little more, then good. But if you drop it enough where you are tucking the tires underneath the wells, then bad.

i love dragging the bumper haha

with like the bagged suspension and stuff
idk why i like it
but you can always raise it back up to stock height anyways, so it doesnt reallly matter.

if its bagged
if you just chop your suspension, thats the cheap and stupid way.
typically the more expensive route is better.
like suspension lifts over body lifts.

Yeah but body lifts work fine for a cheap, little lift.  A 2-3" body lift is a great way to save money.  They're only around $100.
