Well, I have a couple ideas, put your ideas are appractiated.

My idea, take a 3/4 inch alum. tube, cut it in half.
Drill a 3/4 inch hole into the shells.
Weld the each half to the shells.

Cut the alum tube to the desired height.

Then, slip this, http://store.paintballace.com/chitspsufitf2.html , onto the alum tube.

You're done.

Now, is this a good idea?

And do you have any ideas.

That sounds like a great plan. I just hope it will look as good as it sounds.

i don't think the top of your tippy is 3/4" wide i ran into that same problem when i centerfed mine had to add some material to the left half to have enough room for the ball to drop through you can kinda see what i'm talking about in these pics i use "kinda" very lightly

you're on the right track even if it isn't 3/4" you're welding it on so who cares if it isn't it then becomes a matter of blending it in like i did it sounds like a great idea, it's gonna take some head scratching though Thinking

sorry didn't mean to burst your bubble. don't forget you can always add material to the gun sides to get the dimension you want it just creates a "bubble" and dosen't really look that bad. i think you have a really good idea stick with it and keep thinking about it, it'll come to you. if i can help out in any way let me know!!

not sure how rufas dog does their CF's i think when they bore the hole in the top it runs into the old hole and that gives them the clearance they need. not sure though i've never seen one first hand

Ok, heres what I discovers.

Average paintball is .689 inches.
The bottom of that spyder feedneck is about .7
so, a 3/4 inch hole is too big by .05 inches.

This is where I can't explain it any more.

so you need to somehow attach the spyder feedneck directly to the gun???? because you can't make the ID of the feed neck any smaller...correct?

I can't attach it directly to the gun, because then I won't be able to open the gun.

Heres where some people might get confused.

some spyders have high rises. Their diameter is just big enough for the paintball to get though, and let that feedneck slip over it.

Now, if I can get a hold of some of that certian tubing (and the right sized drill bit), it would work.

Confused yet?

i am confused you stated that the feed neck is .7" with paintballs being .689" that only leaves.011" and your tubing wall thickness would have to be half that so you need tubing with a wall thickness of .0055" the standard printing paper is .004" i hate to say it but you'll need to use tinfoil for your tubing. and you still need ball clearance yet. the feed neck almost has to be bigger than .7" the math just dosen't add up.

just measured the stock feedneck and it's .75" that makes sence it would give the PB about .025" clearance all the way arround, i thnk that .75" is the smallest dia. you should shoot for at any place in the feedneck
