i learned so more info about the stock autococker reg in the pass two weeks...

(sorry for the big pic) this is meteora's 98c. which uses a stock autococker reg and a max flow. i asked his: quote:
..what ouput did you set on the reg???? dose it work nice with ur 98c?????

which he answered: quote:
not sure about the output, i have the maxflo cranked to 600, shoot it, then crank it to 900 and theres no change, so my guess the output is around 600psi, it shoots a lil slow(bout 220) once i get my lp kit, i can drop the pressure to 350psi, and the reg is workin pretty good.

also....

this is Zeppelin's 98c. which uses a autococker reg also. i send him a pm which he answered: quote:
oh man i dunno, it is a really old reg that came off my friends old cocker..... it has been sweet spotted and worked great for my tippmann. i got about 600+ shots off my steel 48/3000 air tank

so to run an autococker reg on a 98c like NN's mech you need to:
1. max out the output on the reg
2.have to use a maddman spring kit to get the fps over 260
...i hope i got that right. you may need to do some moding to the valve, shown here...

...but i don't know. hopefully i'm right. just need to try it out. if some one can try and see if this works please post in this thread....

got some more info to add from people that answered the thread at other forums:
1. boarder2k7 quote:
Call tippmann and have them send you an LP valve spring, that, with the expanded valve ports, should work awesome.

2. poleboy90 quote:
Yes the most output on cocker regs is like 600 psi. If you do milling like NNs to the valve the airflow with increase meaning more fps. You actually have to (i mean you should) slot the rear bolt so its lighter and does not have as much recoil. No maddmann spring required.

I tested operation pressure of my 98 with my Sledgehammer reg from my cocker. About 550psi ran good velocity and the RT worked like normal. The reg made the guage jump over 800psi when I adjusted it too far, so 600psi max doesnt seem true. 550-600psi and up is ideal operation pressure, no mods or add ons needed, just stock.

I have my Palmer on my Custom pro and the operating pressure I get is right below 500psi. I was running at around 260. That was what the place I was at required. If I rasied the operating pressure a little over 500, It would probably hit or almost hit 280fps.

I'm not sure if this helps, but just throwin it out there.

Velocity was a little low @500psi (prob around 240fps), around 550 it was perfect and the RT was shooting just as fast.

I was using HPA, and using a stock Autococker reg (Sledgehammer reg). Mid-high 500s and up runs fine.

Just killed my range, so I turned up the pressure and it was shooting like normal at just above 550.
