I was sick of the plastic tab that catches the drive spring breaking on the stock drive cones. So, I foolishly purchased this 30 dollar paper weight.

I pulled it out of the packaging and quickly noticed that it is a LOT heavier than I anticipated. At least 4 or 5 times heavier than the stock cone.

Installation was easy, provided you know your way around the Halo design. I then hit the juice, and the thing spun fine, maybe a little slower than the stock cone. No big deal.

I took it outside to shoot, it rips just like the plastic one did. However, when I opened the lid after I was done shooting, the cone started to spin fiercely. This was no big deal, except it was hitting something, though I never figured out what. It would hit, then recoil, hit, recoil, in this vicious cycle that kept the motor moving due to the noise being made. Remember I have a Reloader B.

I also noticed that the cone doesn't sit flat on the bottom of the catch cup. It wiggles from side to side, and this makes noise, which activates the motor. I took the Reloader apart FIVE TIMES trying to get it to work. No avail.

Put the plastic one back in, and it works great.

If you want an aftermrket cone, get a Delrin one, like the Hybrid or Critical.

Pros-

Strong drive tab
Very durable and looks nice

Cons-

Too heavy
Doesn't fit like the plastic cones do

1/5

Do not buy.

Pics shall be put up later.

The plastic tab that catches the spring wears out and breaks.

Get a Delrin cone, there are the Critical ones, Hybrid, and the ANS thing that CDA mentioned.
