That's pretty good, but stock, it runs at 850, and the Ion runs at or below 200.

The ion is probably the best deal going for a quality entry level electric marker. However, after spending $100 on a hopper and $200 on a tank, I would be inclined to spend more then the ion price on a better marker. I don't like the 98 only because everyone has them. I feel the same thing is happening for the ion with the new speedball crowd.
Apples and Oranges - depends on the player. I run CO2 out of necessity since I cannot get HPA filled, and I have kept it all mechanical to avoid breakage and needing batteries. As you see everyone has their personal preference.

I say custom pro even though we all knew i was gonna say that. Its got the tippmann durability and its very upgradable.

My backup is a bone stock ion (ha...im in the IHA)
my second backup is the old a-5
and finally ive got a $10 pump (thanks tig)

ion sucks compared to when ive shot it and when i use turbo on the Pro E! go Pro and get a Pro lol Salut but i say Pro cuz im a tippmann guy and i dont like how sp is makin it expensive for new ppl wanting a nice gun (HPA and loaders i mean)
